In a shocking incident in Thakurganj, the state capital, a physiotherapist stands accused of brutally murdering his wife by slitting her throat in his house. The suspect, identified as Anandeshwar, 40, is currently on the run.
According to the victim's mother, Kamala, she discovered her daughter, Sandhya Sahu's dead body when she visited her residence on Tuesday. She found her daughter's lifeless body wrapped in a blood-soaked bedsheet, with a deep cut on her throat.
As per police reports, the accused had lost a considerable amount in betting and a tiff between the couple over the matter could have led to the murder. Sandhya’s brother, Aman Sahu has lodged a complaint with the police charging Anandeshwar with murder. He alleged that Anandeshwar and his brother Mintu had assaulted Sandhya in the past too and a police case was registered in this connection. Anand was married to Sandhya in 2008.
